Make no mistake, you don't want to neglect to change your oil because your engine will eventually experience problems and break down. But you might be surprised to hear that you've changed it too much. You probably were told at one time that you should always change your oil once every 3,000 miles and on older vehicles and older engine oil that usually was correct. But most newer models do not require that.
